Terms of Service

Last updated May 21, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Twinline app and twinline.io website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using Twinline you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Twinline provides a second phone line on top of your own Twilio account. You authorize Twinline through Twilio's Connect flow. Twinline gives you the in app experience for calls, SMS, contacts, voicemail, and notifications. Twilio actually delivers the calls and messages and bills you directly for that usage.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area) and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.

3. Subscription and billing

  • Twinline includes a free 30 day trial. After the trial the subscription is $36 per year, billed annually through Google Play (Android) or Apple (iOS).
  • The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel through the relevant app store at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • The Twinline subscription covers the use of the app itself. You pay Twilio directly for the underlying telephony costs (number rental, calls, SMS, voicemail transcription).
  • Refunds are handled by the app store you purchased through. Twinline cannot directly process refunds on its own.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Twinline to:

  • Send unsolicited or unlawful SMS, including spam, phishing, or fraud.
  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate any person.
  • Make robocalls or automatically dialed calls without the legally required consents.
  • Violate A2P 10DLC, CTIA, or any other applicable telecom regulation.
  • Resell numbers or telephony services without our written permission.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice.

5. Twilio relationship

Twinline is an independent service that uses Twilio as your telephony provider. Twilio is not a party to these Terms. Your use of Twilio infrastructure is also subject to Twilio's own terms and acceptable use policies. Your direct contract with Twilio governs your underlying telephony service, including billing for calls, SMS, and number rental.

6. Compliance

You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to your use of the Service, including A2P 10DLC registration for US SMS, geographic permissions, and any country specific identity requirements for the numbers you use. The Twinline app contains links to Twilio documentation for these registrations.

7. Phone numbers

Phone numbers used through Twinline belong to your Twilio account, not to Twinline. If you cancel Twinline, the numbers remain in your Twilio account and you can keep using them outside the app. If your Twilio account is suspended, calls and SMS will stop until you resolve it with Twilio directly.

8. Termination

You may cancel at any time through your app store. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, abuse, fraud, or as required by law. On termination, Twinline revokes the Twilio Connect link. Your Twilio account and phone numbers remain with Twilio.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Twinline is not a replacement for 911 or emergency services in any jurisdiction. Do not rely on Twinline to reach emergency responders.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified inside the app and via email at least 30 days before they take effect.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless your local law requires otherwise.
