Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Twinline app and twinline.io website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using Twinline, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Twinline provides a second phone line that uses Twilio as the underlying telephony carrier. You can either bring your own Twilio account ("BYOC") or use a number we provision for you on a Twilio subaccount we manage ("Managed").

2. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.

3. Subscription and billing

  • Twinline includes a free 30 day trial. After the trial, the subscription is $36 per year, billed annually through Google Play (Android) or Apple (iOS).
  • The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel through the relevant app store at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • The subscription covers the use of up to 3 phone numbers at no additional Twinline fee. You separately pay the underlying Twilio cost for each number (rental, calls, SMS, voicemail transcription). Additional phone numbers beyond 3 can be added at any time for an extra Twinline monthly fee, shown clearly at the time of purchase.
  • Managed users additionally pay for telephony usage (number rental, calls, SMS, voicemail transcription) from the in app wallet at the prices shown at the time of purchase. Wallet top ups are nonrefundable except as required by law.
  • BYOC users pay Twilio directly for usage; the subscription only covers the Twinline app itself.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Twinline to:

  • Send unsolicited or unlawful SMS, including spam, phishing, or fraud.
  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate any person.
  • Make robocalls or automatically dialed calls without the legally required consents.
  • Violate A2P 10DLC, CTIA, or any other applicable telecom regulation.
  • Resell numbers or telephony services without our written permission.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice.

5. Twilio relationship

Twinline is an independent service that uses Twilio as its telephony provider. Twilio is not a party to these Terms. Your use of Twilio infrastructure is also subject to Twilio's own terms and acceptable use policies. For BYOC users, your direct contract with Twilio governs your underlying telephony service.

6. Compliance

You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to your use of the Service, including A2P 10DLC registration for US SMS, geographic permissions, and any country specific identity requirements for the numbers you use.

7. Numbers

Managed phone numbers remain the property of Twilio. We allocate them to you for as long as your subscription is active and your wallet is funded. If your wallet runs negative or your account is suspended, your numbers may be released back to the pool after a grace period. Number portability is not supported in Phase 1.

8. Termination

You may cancel at any time through your app store. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, abuse, fraud, or as required by law. Upon termination, all Managed numbers will be released and unused wallet balance is nonrefundable except where required by law.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Twinline is not a replacement for 911 or emergency services in any jurisdiction. Do not rely on Twinline to reach emergency responders.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified inside the app and via email at least 30 days before they take effect.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless your local law requires otherwise.
